Current St. James Parish Conditions

Parish department leaders, area officials and local law enforcement agencies are monitoring the rising levels of Blind River. As of yet, we have not received any information from the National Weather Center regarding the crest level of Blind River.
Please find a list of updates below:
-Volunteers are needed to fill sand bags only at the Grand Point Fire Station and the Gramercy Water Treatment Plant located on Highway 44.
-Entergy reports show a total of 6954 homes are still without power.
-A parish curfew will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
-Two parish crews are delivering tarps throughout the parish. We have issued over 250 tarps to parish residents.
-An evacuation order in NOT in effect for St. James Parish.
-The following locations are distributing ice, water and MRE’s:
Sacred Heart Church in Gramercy. (Waiting for additional supplies)
Romeville Senior Citizen Center in Romeville.
Jubilee truck Stop in Vacherie.
5th District Park in Welcome.
